To Supercab or to Supercrew, that is the question

Hoping I can get some help here:

I am looking at a new 2010 or 2011 F150, and can't decide between the Supercab or the Supercrew. It's just myself and rarely have more than just myself in my vehicle. I'd like to hear people's recommendations or why you bought one over the other.

Your help appreciated.

If its pretty much just you, Supercab is fine. Cheaper price, can still fill the back with groceries with the seat lifted and rear seat passengers still have good room.

Supercab looks better, supercrew is more conveient. If I needed a supercrew, I would have bought an SUV. Get the supercab if you rarely drive anyone around.

I was in the exact same dilemma back in 2004. I chose the Supercrew at the time because I didn't like the way the seatbelts were configured in the Supercab. I am glad I ended up with the Supercrew. Never really had too many passengers, but having the interior space for valuables and other stuff really came in handy. I know there are people that swear by the bed covers and caps, but those options are not for me. When I purchased my 2010, I went with the Supercrew again. Couldn't be more happy.

I had a supercab and will never go back. I hate the suicide doors on the back. They are a pain in the *** if you have to get people or stuff in the back when you have cars parked on either side of you. The room in the back of the 2009+ supercrew is awesome. Passengers have more than enough room and you can haul one hell of a lot of stuff back there with the seat flipped up.

I just went from a standard to supercab and am amazed out how massive the interior is. It is bigger than my cobalts interior.

I'm going SCab this time. The truck weighs less, cost less and you get the 6.5' bed. the Crew with 6.5' bed is pretty long. I have one daughter who is 3 y.o., so rear space isn't a concern.

If you want it to fit in an enclosed garage, you might measure your garage to make sure the truck you think you want will fit in. The supercrew cabs on the 2009-11 are 6" longer than 2004-08 were. For me, that extra room in the back seat area comes in handy and more than makes up for the short (5.5') bed length.

I agree with that. I would hate having a 5.5 bed. That's like driving a ranger. And Haliburton drives screw cabs with the long beds and they are like aircraft carriers.

I originally wanted a supercab, but could only find an FX4 in a supercrew for some reason. IMO I would have gotten the supercab. It is your decision but as other said it costs less and weighs less plus a bigger bed in the supercab, if I were you this is what I would get.

get the screw. i think they look just as good if not better. although that is an opinion. but the space inside the cab of the screw is well worth choosing it for. once you go screw, you will never go back to a supercab. whether it is just you or not, having the space is great.

Boils down to what you need. If you haul more people than stuff - Supercrew. If you haul more stuff than people - Supercab. If you haul a lot of people and a lot of stuff - Supercrew with the fullsize bed. It's great to have choices!

you will get 100% of your money back if you purchase a supercrew

A supercab will bring you heartache when you try to resale.
