calling all lifted 2009 and 2010 f150s
hey i bought a 6" bds suspension lift for my 2009 f150 and i was wondering what size backspacing will work with my kit. They say 5.5" backspacing with 37's. I'm running 35's. any pics and any help appreciated. I'm getting excited to get this put in, and the wife is tired of triping over the lift kit boxes stored in our spare bedroom!

I have a 6in bds, the specs are 18"x8.5" with 5 1/2" of backspacing (+20mm offset), they are tucked under the fenders real good.
But check out this thread too.

Well it will definitely clear the inside (spindle). Now whether it clears the fender n bumper while turning depends on how wide that 4.52"backspaced wheel is. . If the wheel is 11" or narrower, ya should be fine.

On the spindle side: This is the side that counts when talking the allowable offset. Tire size WILL matter as a 14.50tire on a 5.5" backspaced wheel will get you closer to the spindle than a 12.50 on that same wheel. Not even considering height of tire.. So basically, the WHEEL might not rub if it has 5.5" of backspacing but that backspacing may need to be different if you have wider meats hanging off of that wheel.

The Pro Comp 6" says it will fit 37s too. But Im like you, doubtful. I guess with a narrower wheel. I dunno. Will need to get closer to that 5.5 backspacing if u run 37s so the wheel n tire are tucked in the fenders more to avoid hitting the bumper/fenders... maybe, lol

I went with the 20x10 Moto Metal 955 chrome and nitto trail grappler all terrains. If I remember correctly, the backspace in 5in. Installation is being completed next week. Will post pics when complete. I haven't seen this setup other than on internet so hoping it looks really good in person

It may work with a 12.50 wide 37 and a super tucked in 9" wide wheel with some jacked up backspacing like you mentioned.. Then its on 'stilts' and looks awkward and disproportional. I find it odd that two 6" lift companies claim to fit 37's and Rize claims to easily clear 35's and clear 37's with trimming. Odd, I guess we will see how the OP's comes out..
