Anyone here have a 2011 with the 3.7 V6?

Wittom,
I hope you end up buying - and liking - the new truck. I love my 2010 with the 4.6 3 valve motor and hope the new V6 is nearly as nice. I also think the short box / regular cab is simply the best looking configuration going. That's why I keep buying them. Remember to ask about the behind the seat cargo organzer tray. Even if the truck doesn't have it, it's very usefull, inexpensive and easy to install at home.
One thing you might want to know though, the OEM tires are pretty useless in snow.

Hey thanks! I'm pretty sure that I'm going to get this truck. I'm sure that I'll like it. The one thing that I was most concerned about was whether the V6 would have enough oomph. I think that it will have enough power, I'm just going to have to learn how to drive a truck with a 6-speed auto. I know that the 4.6 24v motor is nice, and that I would like it but because of the fluxuating fuel costs, I would like to be able to get better than 20mpg highway for when the prices are on the higher end.
I too think that the reg. cab short box is the best config. I've had a couple. The scabs and screws are nice, they just seem HUGE. Some people might want/need that but I don't.
Thanks for the heads up on the organizer tray. I was looking back there thinking that it was useful space but needed something to put stuff in. Also thanks for the heads up about the stock tires.
I'm picking up the truck tomorrow night for an extended test drive. I'll be making my decision Saturday. Something tells me that there will be a change on my profile Saturday.

I'm not sure how I missed this post but I'm glad I found it. While I am in the market for a Super Cab and the 5.0 engine in particular I am keeping my eyes open for a pretty well fitted out truck with the 3.7 V6 in case my other trucks I am keeping an eye on (till I am back stateside in February) are bought up. Just keeping my options open and I am glad I found that link for the V6 'shootout" it made me feel a lot better in case I decide to "settle" for the 3.7. Wouldn't mind the Ecoboost but they are still few and far between where I am looking. For my type of truck use (in case I ever need a truck...) the 3.7 may end up meeting my needs.
Thanks again,
Dennis

I will give my impression of this truck. So far I've only put a couple hundred miles on it. It's going to take a little driving to really be able to tell people what I think. So far it seems pretty good.
I'll start a new thread about my impressions. It might be a little while as I only drive my personal vehicle on weekends for the most part.
I was proud to look back at the truck as we went off into the woods for our hike.
I'm like a kid with a new toy.
