I have a 5.0 SCrew FX4 and love it! I've never driven the EB so I can't speak to it but like you I love the sound and feel of a V8! Before I moved to Italy I was putting 150 miles a day on the truck and had zero complaints. everything about it was amazing! Unfortunately I had to leave it in the states but it's in good hands until I get back. Anyway, Good luck.

I Lied. I have the 5.4. Haven't seen the truck for a year and I'm an airhead anyway. Sorry. Anyway, Good luck. No matter what you get I'm sure you'll be pleased.

Have not driven an EB. I love the sound of a V-8. I can say both the sound and power of the 5.0L is intoxicating.

It's that good.

I love my 5.0, 2 reasons I picked it over the EcoBoost: 1. I really wanted the V8 sound (it's awesome) and 2. I couldn't wait any longer!

Be aware if you buy X plan you will lose the $500 rebate for military, that was the case when i purchased my 2010 last july. Without the plan the O.T.D difference was only $45 but then again that was last year.

Depending on your mileage to and from, little doubt fuel will be going up, couple of mpg maybe an issue to you.

Well, Ive done some pricing research. Have not checked with USAA yet, but heres what Ive got so far. For a 2011 FX2 Screw short bed, lux package, 3.55 LSD. MSRP $38,660, Invoice $35,003. Exchange price is $33,802, so roughly 1200 under invoice. Not too bad. I'd have to pay 3.5% tax on the truck when I register in Oklahoma.
