Hello and here's my ride!

Been lurking for a while.

This is my 4th F150 and my 5th ford (2002 Mustang GT a while ago). It's also my first 4x4 which has come in handy since I've been living in snow country. I pretty much customize every vehicle I get my hands on. This is my first shot at a 4x4. I try to keep things simple, usable, clean, with a bit of added attitude. I like the STX because it gives me the stuff I need in a truck and none of the stuff I don't. It's my daily driver, toy hauler, go to the big orange box home store truck, and etc.

My other rides are: 1965 Chevelle pro touring project (had the car for 20 years) and a 2010 Triumph Thruxton 900 modern/retro fusion cafe project.

I do as much of the work as I can including the recent installation of the leveling kit which by the way was a major PITA! :-/

Looking forward to sharing and gathering info.

The Truck:
2010 F150 STX 4X4 4.6 3V
STX Plus package
Tow package with 3:73 gears
Trailer tow package
Power options group
1.5" billet level
17 x 9 Pro Comp7089's
33" Pro Comp X T/A
Dynomax SS cat back
AVS bug shield (people always ask)
Smoked LED tails,
Line-X bedliner
Fender Flares from heavydutytrucks(can't remember the brand name)

It always does! However, right now, all my extra dough is going to the Chevelle. Lots to be done and it will cost a fortune for sure! So, truck is done for a while...

The leveling kit might have been a PITA, but it looks GREAT! It looks just as good as a AutoSpring 2" kit. I haven't seen a 1.5" kit make a truck that level. Nice!

Rednoved:

No, you're seeing an optical illusion due to the smoked, low profile bug shield. Happens all the time

Thanks! Unfortunately the truck is registered in NH which is my legal residence (military) and NO tint is allowed on the front side windows. We plan on returning in the next couple of years and I don't want to add tint just to have to take it off again.

I do plan to get some black powdercoated running boards

I plan to post pics of the truck cleaned up once it finally warms up around here and the snow and salt is gone.

Looks good, are those the stock head lights? I almost went with those tails, but after a bunch of research they just didn't look dark enough for our color truck. But they don't look too bad on yours, probably would look real nice tinted a bit too. I ended up going with the hd tails, look alot better than those chrome stockers.

stock vs hd's

Nice truck!

The LED tails I have match the color of the truck very closely which is why I went with them. The headlights are stock, but have AVS Projektors on them. They are attached with a Velcro type of fastener. They give a similar look to HD headlights, but at a fraction of the cost.

They look pretty good. If you don't mind me asking where did you get them and how much did you pay?

Overall i love your truck, and I would trade with you in a second. The only thing you should do is get rid of the chrome step bars IMHO.

If I can ask, what wheels are those? they look fantastic

Thanks guys. As noted somewhere above, I plan to get some black steps this summer once I figure out which ones. :-) Any recommendations?

The wheels are Pro Comp 7089s. I listed everything in post number 1 for more details.

The headlight covers are difficult to find, but I found these on ebay and cost about 30 bucks. Just search for AVS Projektors on your favorite search engine.
