This is all very common. Earlier this week for about 3 days we were at -50 degrees with the wind chill and vehicles didn't like it. They will whine for a while and be very stiff. I also learned a hard lesson about plastic in extreme colds. I was jumping my truck with my work truck, finished up, shut the hood on my 09 F-150 and snapped off all the plastic clips on the top of grill. I didn't even shut it very hard. $368.00, so be careful with that!
