I have been getting quotes from dealers, and they are all at invoice minus any rebates, even on ecoboost. I don't think that's too bad a deal. I don't get xplan, but invoice isn't too far off I believe. Only downside is having to pay the full 499 d&h.

Invoice was cheaper than xplan on my 2010. Negotiating is easy when you tell the dealer invoice minus incentives or no deal. They will usually make the deal.

Thanks for the reply molinoman, from your lips to God's ears on the $3,500. I sent for the brochure but have not received it yet. I ordered my Platinum on Jan. 28th and my dealer told me that they received a build date for the week of Feb. 28th. He said to expect it mid-March.

My xplan was 20 bucks or so less on the 09 and higher on the 10... I never use it, I do better myself. xplan is locked the dealer cannot do anything to the deal once you claim the xplan.

I think 15-20% is accurate. Invoice isn't much lower than MSRP these days. Ford is cutting into dealer profits by lowering MSRP to compete. There used to be 10k mark up in every truck now there is only 3-4k between MSRP and invoice. I got 3,500 in rebates, 3,600 off MSRP for invoice and 600 or half of the holdback when I bought.

It all depends on what model it is and how many options it has - the higher the model/options the larger the difference between invoice and MSRP.

For example, I was looking at an FX4, MSRP 41640 - 3330 (invoice) - 4250 in rebates = 34060. So $7580 off MSRP.

XLT's have an additional 1000 rebate.

I ordered/received the F-150 brochure from Ford, but like the Soup **** from the Seinfeld Show used to say, ‘No Coupon for You’! Oh well, maybe Ford’s computer knew I already ordered my Platinum.
