Negotiating With Dealer for Truck

Currently negotiating with a dealer for the following truck in Canada:

2011 FX4
Luxury Pkg
20's
Moonroof
Command Start

The MSRP is listed as $53299, I asked him to email his best price (I know its not going to be his best, but he emailed me: $49967.
ok seems like a good starting point to me. Current incentives are $10,000 off with trade in.
so we're at $40,000 (tax not included (12%))
I would like to get the truck down to $36000/$37000
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE X-PLAN PRICE IS ON THIS VEHICLE IN CANADA!!!! THANKS IN ADVANCE

I know people have talked about getting 15-20% off your vehicle price..does that include incentives?? what would the X-plan price be on this truck?? Can the dealer come down to my asking price??? I'm in no rush to buy the truck and will wait until incentives increase and they can get closer to my number...what should, based on the informed opinion of the people on here legitimately expect to the truck at for at good price??

xplan pricing is usually 5% below invoice and its non-negotiable as its factory pricing

x-plan = dealer invoice - .4% + up to $275 doc fee then subtract applicable rebates. To get an idea of x-plan prices go here: https://www.fordpartner.com/partnerweb/login.do. I used the code xz411. I don't believe you can price options but to get an idea look at KBB.com, build the truck you want and use the invoice price of options. Should get you very close.

another good resource (but I'm not sure if it's valid in Canada) is truecar. You can price options and get an idea of what other people have paid. Dealers that participate have agreed to sell for what they list. It shows the best price and emails you and the dealer. Kinda cool. Gives you a starting point anyways.

I thought you could because it allows you to choose Canada, but the it just takes you to the Ford website. You may be able to enter an x-plan code for a Canadian company? I googled x-plan partner code to find the one I posted.

X plan is actually above invoice price. While there is some variation this is typically where the numbers fall.

Reddragon8 here is a list of the partner companies that can get x-plan.

Can someone please tell me what the Canadian x-plan price is for a truck similar to the one I'm going to order?

Ordered the following on January 28th:
F150 Platinum shortbed 4x4 5.0 3.55
Black/Black (Sienna Brown Interior)
Moonroof
Tailgate step
Skid Plate
Full Rubber Mats
36 gallon tank (optional?)
Total Base & Options $49,645
X-Plan Price $45,496.71
Savings $4,148.29 or 8.8% under Retail Invoice Price

Does this sound right to those of you who are veteran X-Plan buyers?

I ordered on Feb 15 the following:
F150 Platinum 4x4 Supercrew 3.5L Ecoboost
6.5ft bed, metallic grey, black leather interior
3.73 differential
20in aluminum wheels
Telescopic wide mirrors
Max. Tow
Skid plates
Bedliner
Moonroof, tailgate steps, full rubber mats
Final Total: $57,427.23 CDN tx included.
This already includes delivery & prep charges, $7,000 incentive & a $1,000 accessories credit (which I still need to decide on)
6-8 weeks for delivery, but all the dealerships I visited said it's more like 4-5 weeks.

For you guys in Canada...Holy Cow!!!

For Ret50 you should also be able to get at least (depending on what the rebates are in your part of the country) another $3,500, plus if you order the brochure from Ford you should (though there have been some on the forum who have said it wasn't in there) get a coupon for another $750 off from Ford.

Good luck,

Dennis
