Truck Negotiation

All,

I am negotiating with a couple of dealers in my area. I am looking to purchase a 2011 XLT Screw with a 6.5 foot bed and the 5.0 V8. I would like to get the Chrome, Convenience, and Tow Packages.

Do you guys think the following will be possible?

Starting: 36,417 ($800 over invoice)
Package Discount: 1,500
Rebates: 5,250
Price before trade: 29,667

I'll probably have to wait till the end of the month to pull this off.
Thanks in advance!

Make them compete against eachother, tell the others what prices they are giving you and let them beat it.

If you are close to invoice then that might be the best they can do. Not many people are getting below invoice unless they have connections.

Yeah - I don't think I have a snow ball's chance in hell to get below invoice. Not unless its the end of the year.

I am going to pit three dealers against each other and see what happens. I'll let you guys know how it ends up. Hopefully I will have my new rig this Saturday.

Mo power,

Can your break down your $5,250? The max I'm seeing is $4,500 and that is with $1,000 trade assistance and $1,000 Ford Motor Credit.

I received a call yesterday from a dealer I cut ties with when they couldnt get my name right. I was told Ford had rebates totaling approx $9500 for this week only. I e-mailed my perferred dealer and asked if he knew anything about them.

The difference in prices should allow me to buy a SCREW with pretty much the same options instead of a SCAB. I would lose the 3.5l and spray-in liner, but would gain the sun-roof, and 20" wheels. If I figured it right, total cost would be about 6000k less for the better truck. I can buy my spray-in liner and a lot of gas for that much in savings.

Hello Mo Power, I am looking at XLT myself with the same specs: 4x4, Super Crew and long bed, it is amazing with all these rebates! If possible, could you do me a favor by breaking all these down for me? Or if there is a link that explains these rebates so I don't look like a total fool while negotiating? Now, the only thing is that I have nothing to trade with since I totalled my vehicle, and didn't insure it. Right now, I am just waiting for my tax guy to do my taxes for my bank is waiting on that before giving me a loan of approximately 25K, I was going to make up the rest if need be. They checked my rating it is about 820. My interest rate is... hmm I forgot either 2.99% or was it 3.99%? Is that pretty decent? Thanks in advance bud!

Hi - If you don't have a trade in, you won't be able to take advantage of the following:
Less Trade in assistance cash Prgm #32352 for $1,000.00

You also need to use Ford Motor Credit to get the following:
Less Ford Credit Bonus Cash Prgm #11862 for $1,000.00

I plan on using both. One of the dealers gave me an invoice price of $36,306.

The dealers I have been working with keep taking the $1500 package discount off of the MSRP. This may be a Ford rule that they need to follow.

Later.
