Talking What's in a Name ?

http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/09/r...ame/#continued

Well there's always some silliness .So how many of you confuse F150 with F-150 ? Confuse a FORD truck with a supercar Ferrari ?

I wish I could afford both ! Since Ford doesn't make the Lightning anymore I really do need that 200 mph vehicle to pick up the milk and eggs, or when I forget that little gift for the Valentine .

Man i just don't know. I swear if you install a tornado in the intake tube and an ebay electric supercharger in a Ford F150, you will be hard pressed to tell the difference from behind the wheel! I can see how they're easily confused. Oh, yeah, you have to tape a Ferrari emblem over the Ford oval on the steering wheel, almost forgot that. Its all in the details.

Now that reminds me about the guy who was on here a year ago or so who wanted to put an FX4 sticker on an XL, what a hoot that thread was.

Man, now I'm really depressed. At first I thought I had a Ferrari for the price of an FX4. Now I realize that I could have had an FX4 for TWENTY EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS less by putting some stickers on and painting the grill on an XL?!!!

OMG, I think I need to find a therapist that specializes in vehicular depression.

Seriously, I don't know how I missed that thread when it was posted, but it was a very entertaining read. LOL Thanks!

(no offense to any XL folks out there - every truck has its purpose for its owner)

I think most xl owners can recognize the differences between their trim and that of the other trims, and as such realize why it costs more money for some of the upper level trims. But most of them made the decision to buy an xl because it fit their needs and budget the best. I love my fx4, doesn't mean I cant appreciate the interior of the Harley or the creature features of a Platinum. I just don't want to spend 50+K on a truck. God, spending the 38K I did hurt.

I don't think it'll stick since Ferrari doesn't use the hyphen
