Replacement of wood panel inserts in 2011 Lariat
I am part of the group of people that feel that the current "blond" wood trim panels are just not the best looking and are not up to the looks of this truck.
If you like the "blond" wood accents...this topic is probably best to be skipped.
Does anyone know where you can get any reasonable (or at worst "unreasonably") priced replacements for the blond wood paneling accents in the 2011 Lariat.
And if someone has done this in the past...how hard is it to have these installed?
Just wondering if there are any decent alternatives out there.

Several things come to mind
The most expensive would be to look for FX4, Raptor or other non-wood grain panels from the dealers or online.
I am sure in due time someone will make the stick on overlays like they have for the 04-08 model year
Lastly you could try a vinyl/sign/sticker shop. I am sure they could wrap that stuff easily. then you get an abundance of choices on color.

I think probably the best option would be to buy the OEM part for another truck and replace it on yours. I.E. you buy the replacement trim for a 2010 Lariat(a darker wood grain) and replace it. This would more than likely be the most expensive of the options, but it will also be the most durable and best looking IMO. Just make sure you replace all of the parts necessary, including the center stack, center console, and all 4 doors. Good luck!

With the black interior (seats, carpet, door panels, headliner) they look just fine, but I have to disagree when the interior is the tan/adobe color. It becomes too light at that point, it needs contrast is what I am getting at..

I priced out the factory parts before I saw the truck in person and it looks like about $1500.
