Smile 2010 Platinum 1 year review

Hey guys,
Thought some of you would like a little unbiased comparison of owning a GM and Ford.
Prior to this truck I have owned 3 new GMC, the last being a 2007 SLT.
I bought the Ford because the deal I got was unbelievable.
After 1 year I'm still loving this truck as much as the day I picked it up. I find the Ford more comfortable than my GM. The seats seem more supportive and the room between my shoulder and door as well as head room is greater than the GM. At 6'4" and 235 lb this may be more important to me than others.
There are also less squeaks and rattles after a year than any of my GMs.
I'm getting about the same mileage and am more than happy with the engine performance although I think my GM had a little more jam when you got into it.
All my GMs were good trucks and I have nothing bad to say about them, but at this point I'm definitely a FORD man.

Good man!! I have the same truck and I love it. I use to be a Chevy man, but I and also some friends have had many problems and I walked away and will never look back.

Good to hear. People can talk all they want about brand vs. brand, but in the end its the quality of the product that does the talking.

ive owned 3 f150's and one 08 silverado. I never thought it was as comfortable as my fords and was noisier in the cab driving down the highway. However it was a snappy sucker.

Here here!!

Oh yeah...I've never owned anything but a Ford (not counting the Chevy Cavalier my wife brought into the marriage)

Thumbs up

I also have the same truck and agree with the OP 200%!

Not one problem with my Platinum! It has plenty of power for me with an average of 17 mpg around town & 20-21 on the freeways. ( I have a easy foot. lol) And also as the OP stated, I still enjoy driving her as much as I did the first day I brought her home! Fantastic Truck!!!

I can say the same thing about my 2010 Lariat, as well. We are similarly sized.

Being the same size (6' 4" and 230) comfort is key, hence the reason I drive a truck. Love my XLT, but already planning on a Lariat after the next redesign or if the ecoboost gets like 23 mpg hwy consistently.

On my third F-150 at 24 and I am damn sure I will be on my 4th or 5th by 30
