Whats the big hang-up with this 26 vs 36 gallon tank??? so you have to stop at a gas station a bit more...is anyone on here planning on driving primarily in a location where there is no gas station or something??? This argument perplexes me to no end....there are gas stations every 1-2 km's....

I can see where it would be nice if you'll be towing alot, as your milage (While towing), will go down, thus lowering the number of miles you can go on a tank. Really though, if I was ready to buy now, I wouldn't let that stop me at all. No guarantee the bigger tank will even be an option later, that's another 80 lbs to carry around.

Interesting. I read an article that said "Heat" aditive was a waste of money as it didn't work for water removal or freezing in the wintertime. The article said to save your money. Being it is pure alcohol, I wonder what is true.

How many miles a week do you drive? I drive at least 60+ miles a day 5 days a week plus that much or quite a bit more on the weekends. I average 400-420 miles a week. I usually stop one time a week for gas normally Tuesday or Wednesday depending on the driving I did over the weekend.
It would be nice to be able to drive all week, not worry about side trips, and fill up only on the weekends at my favorite station... But that would take the 36 gallon tank.

I drive minimum of 70 miles a day for work, and have to time getting to town for fuel according to the weather forecast. Heavy snow and wind forecasted, get to town fast. With the 36 gallon tank it would make it less stressful to try and dodge the snow storms. I contacted Ford and here is the reply I got. "Thank you for contacting Ford Motor Company on 2/25/2011 04:23:33 PM. We appreciate the time you have taken to write us.
We are happy to hear about your interest in the 2011 F-150 EcoBoost engine, which has been one of the most popular of our four brand new engines. I did check that if you are looking for a 4x4 model, you will be getting the thirty six gallon fuel tank. The only way you would be getting a twenty six gallon fuel tank was if you purchased a 4x2 model. "
So if this is true, the 36 gallon tank will be on my 4x4 ecoboost.

9mpg while towing x 26 = 234 miles. You just ran out of gas 66 miles short of the gas station. It's 104 degrees and a long walk, but it's a dry heat.

I wish it was true. But we have learned not to trust the info given by the call centers in Pakistan.
