Yesterday, about 5 miles after buying gas, my truck started to run bad and the check engine light kicked on. Gas mileage dropped down to about 8 MPG. This morning, the truck would not start and after adding 2 cans of dry gas, I was able to start it (barely). I stopped at the place where I purchased gas and at least they admitted that they had to shut down yesterday, stating they received a bad load of gas from their source.

Now the fun begins..I still have at least 1/4 of a tank and I need to get it out of my truck. I tried to run a line to siphon it, and I can not get a line far enough into the tank.

Any ideas?

[IMG]You don't siphon fuel from the tank thru the filler tube. You pop the rear vent on top of the tank. Takes a couple minutes[/IMG] that's basically what the article was saying that i could'nt get to post,,sorry,,

 

The fuel station is paying I hope. I wouldn't mess around. Tow it to the dealer have them drop the tank and purge your fuel lines, etc.. This happened out here in So Cal and ARCO (BP) gathered everybody who filled up and took care of them with rentals and fixed their cars.
