Off Road bumper

Any one put on an off-road or replacement heavy duty bumper on their truck?

I'm leaning towards Summit Bullnose Front Bumper.

Not sure how it would look on a non-lifted truck. I would like a lift, but it is not in the cards for a few years. Let me know your thoughts or ideas.

Brian

The silver F150 looks like a stock height truck. So thats what the bumper would look like on a non lifted truck...

I couldn't tell, hence why I was looking for opinions. I'm still mixed on the idea. They are not cheap either.

I think it looks good on the silver truck. The whole black/silver scheme looks good. The only thing that might look a bit off is the fact that you have a chrome grill and the silver truck has a black grill. That's my $0.02.

I think the diamond plate look is a little rural or hick. I had a Buckstop rear on my f250 and liked it a bunch.

i would put the lift on first....those bumpers are gonna be $$$. The lift may even be cheaper.

I do agree on the diamond plate, that is a huge factor holding me back.

I found the front bumper about $700 on couple ebay stores and rear was near same. The lift is far out as at work I park in a parking garage with a 6' 8" clearance. Thinking about leveling the front, larger rear blocks and tires. Not decided yet.

As much as I have always wanted this type of bumper, the more I look at it more I think it won't look right. I'm trying to keep the truck looking classy, but still functional and a work horse. More contemplation I guess.

It will look horrible and be a waste of money.

Save it for some new tires and Bilstein off-road front leveling shocks.

Look for the smaller brush guards then. I think they have some that fit the '09 style with hard angles. I would get something like that before anything else because it is really useful. I've gotten yanked out of some sticky situations, it has prevented countless damages to the truck, I've used it to hold water hoses while washing the truck and bikes, used it to hang a stringer full of fish while I was cleaning them and tons of other applications...find me a set of shocks that do that.

There is one in the Earl Owens catalog that looks great and modern. Kind of like a Warn front end.
