That may not be totaled - it all depends on what the frame looks like.

Yeah the body looks repairable if there isn't any frame damage. From what I can see I think the repacking of all those airbags is going to be the deciding factor. Personally I'd go find a new truck.

RIP F-150. May your old body bring new parts for other trucks

That has to be the worst mod I've seen!

Glad it did it's job and protected your family. Time for Raptor!

It sure was a pretty ..... and a Flareside at that!

I agree, looks possibly repairable, but those air bagfs and the RCM and pretensioners and stuff run the bill up fast.

Glad the family is A-OK!

Well, it's official. The truck is TOTALED! Drove down to Louisiana this past Sunday and picked up an 09 Platinum for less than I paid for the FX4.

I'll post pics as soon as I get it cleaned up this weekend.

Glad you and the family are ok...this is what insurance is for and hopefully she had insurance. Did they cite the other girl for unsafe turn and failure to yield?

Post up some pics of the new platinum

Glad to hear you and your family are ok and your truck did it's duty. Any pictures of the other vehicle? By the looks of the damage it had to be a full sized car...

Glad the family and all are ok. The rest just doesn't matter.

You know every time I see photos like this, I realize how lucky we are to drive safe trucks like these.

Hope you can get into a new truck soon. Don't think I'd want this one any longer.

Luckily, she did have insurance. She was driving a 2000 Saturn and we made initial contact in the front passenger side quarter panel, which then spun her vehicle around and the rear slammed in to the driver side of my truck. This caused my truck to veer to the right, and we left the road way and flew down an embankment. We ended up in the parking lot of a shopping center. Fortunately, she walked away from the accident as well. If we had hit her broadside, she wouldn't have been so fortunate. We were travelling around 50mph at contact.

Here are some pics of the accident scene taken a few days afterwards.

Here's the intersection:

Glad to hear your family got away safely. It's good to know the truck could take a licking like that.

Enjoy the new (for you) Platinum.
