Actual owner tow review with the Ecoboost 3.5L !!

Not an F150 but a Flex, but with a decent sized Jayco Hybrid trailer. That's a 24' Jayco Jay Feather EXP. Here's the review.

This guy is technically towing this trailer above the Flex's tow rating but within the GCVW. The Flex is a front wheel drive car with a 450 lbs hitch weight limit. This guy is really overloaded with a loaded trailer tongue weight maybe at 624 lbs. Besides over the hitch weight rating, with weight distribution, it likely puts the front axle beyond it rating as well. So with a Flex, towing this trailer is not recommended. A manufacturers hitch weight rating usually reflects the hitch reciever capacity plus the front axle capacity in relation to weight distributed from the rear suspension. With the front wheel drive Flex, this much tongue weight can be dangerous under certain circumstances.

However, this review does show the excellent towing characteristics of the Ecoboost even in this 'detuned' form. The Flex does have a longer wheelbase which even helps it more tow this travel trailer.

Not to bad for the Ecoboost.

Yes, but the vehicle will be FWD until the need for AWD is there. AWD is 'auto' 4WD just without low range in the transaxle.
