first three tanks i have gotten 16-16.4
1st tank: 220 miles highway (driving home from dealer) then all city for the next 300 miles. 16.1
2nd tank: all city 16.4
3rd tank: 120 highway and rest city 16.3
so far i'm impressed with my city mpg, on the highway i have trouble getting above 17 on the read out. the newer motors seem to be drastically affected by any wind. for the city i am extremely happy, i've been driving unaggressively. for 4wd and 3.73's i consider it pretty good compared to my older f150's.

My truck is only seeing service duty right now towing a 3000 lb load. I see 18 @ 60 on the interstate and 14.5-16.0 in town with multiple stops. I have not checked empty since 750 miles on the ODO, but it was getting 18 in town and 21+ on the interstate keeping under 1800 rpm .

MPG mean nothing when not comparing apples to apples:
2WD or 4WD?
3.31, 3.55, or 3.73 axle?
Reg, Scab, or Screw?
5.5' or 6.5' bed?
LX, STX, XLT, FX series, Lariat, or Platinum as these all have different weights affecting mileage.
So far, I'm not impressed with the mileage of the 5.0L from what I've read of owners getting. I drive my 5.4L 2010 in mixed conditions going to work and I get hand calculated 16 - 17 mpg or display 16.5 mpg - 17.5 mpg. With a lot city/town driving added to the already mixed driving to and from work, I get around 15 mpg. Now add into that some heavy throttle and quick stops and I get about 14.5 mpg. That's with the 5.4L 3.55 LS axle on a 4WD XLT with 5.5' . Others with '10 FX4s with the 3.73 alxes get significantely less mileage. As said, I been there with the Off Road package I had on the '04 Titan at an average of 13.2 mpg mixed driving in the Summer and much lower in the winter.
I have seen owners with the Ecoboost trucks in the same configuration as mine reporting as low at 15 mpg up to 19 mpg driving in mixed conditions.
My previous 2008 Sport Trac with the 4.6L 3 valve(6 speed trans 6R60) was getting 17 - 18 mpg hand calculated in the same drive to work that I get 16 -17 mpg with the F150. I get exactly 1mpg worse with the '10 5.4L F150 which I think is outstanding for a truck that weighs 700 lbs more.
I also get about 1.5 mpg worse in town driving at about 14.5 mpg where the Sport Trac got 16 mpg.
I think that the 3.73 on any of the engines 4.6L 3 valve, 5.4L, 5.0, 3.5 Ecoboost really kills mileage from what I've seen others reporting.
Then again many say it's a truck but my truck is a multitasker. It's a tow vehicle, a hauler, a people carrier, a commuter, and a show piece . At 65 miles round trip per day, to and from work, I need some type of mileage especially at $4.30/gallon 87 octane prices.

Mileage
2011, F150, 2wd, 5.0l, Supercrew, 5.5 bed, 3.55 gears. I'm getting a low of 14.9 in town (1st week, heavy on the load pedal), a high of 22.1 (straight highway, mileage run, w/o cruise control on). Overall I'm getting 16.3 in mixed driving - I can't beleive th combination of mileage and power this truck has! Waaaay better than the old Silverado I traded in on it. I've got just at 1100 miles on it right now. I'm hoping it improves with time.

So far I have 2700 miles on mine. First 1300 miles was a trip that I used to break it in, varying the speed and rpm so I didnt include this in my calculations but it was around 19mpg. For the next 1400 miles my driving has been 50% stop and go in city, 25% pulling about 3000 lbs trailer (lawn mowing)in the same city traffic sometimes stopping only a few blocks down so not good for mileage at all and then 25% highway at 65mph. Overall hand calculated average is 15.51 mpg and computer says 15.3, so the "lie-o-meter" has actually been cheating me. This same type of driving I was getting 13.5-14.5 in my 07 4.6 so I am extremely happy.

Been looking around still and thought I was stuck on a EB FX4 but cannot find the one I like, talked to a buddy at the dealership and planned on ordering one, but did find 5.0 with everything I want. So now I need to think about how hard I want that EB, mileage doesn't seem that drastically different.

5.0, 3.55LS, 4x4, screw, 2700 miles now. first tank was 16.3, second was 17.1, 3rd was 17.7, and has since been hoverin around 17.7-18.5 depending on where im driving, but most of my driving is 70% county hwy(55mph limit, goin 60) and 30% city. pretty impressive with doin some pullin while im at it. this things is awesome, especially after coming from a 13mpg 2v 5.4! i can drive almost 3 weeks on a tank of gas!
