questions about leveling kit
i put on my leveling kit yesterday and installed my edge the day before. i didnt notice for the whole 2 miles i drove yesterday but on my way to work this morning i noticed a little bit of a louder noise, almost like i have knobby tires on it or something? does the leveling kit contribute to this or is my edge making some of this noise? help please, thanks.

Sorry to say, but take it back. Put it simple to em, "you f'ed it, you fix it, and I want the alignment printout when you are done" If something was left loose, the alignment could possibly be out again already.

well here is the latest on this whole mess. after 3 days of hearing this noise i had my girlfriend while i was at work take my truck down the road about 45 min to the closest offroad shop around. i had them drive it around and see if it was right or just my imagination. turns out that the "specialist" at the tire store installed them wrong...i had told him that i have looked into this and according to alot of people online its a fairly simple process that anyone with the right tools could do. needless to say it has my right front tire locked into 4wd and its begining to mess up my rotors and hubs. im not sure what to do about it because i wont be able to get my money back unless i give them a chance to fix it and it still isnt fixed. i really dont know if i wanna trust them with it again. any ideas on what to do? i paid 300 to have it installed wrong and im sure ill pay 300 again to have it fixed right at the other place.

I would have a sit down with the shop manager. Tell him what you expect to happen from here. I don't know how the tech managed to do that. It really is as simple as... Take a nut off the stabilizer bar, remove the bottom bolt off the shock, remove both inside lower control arm bolts, and remove the 3 nuts. on top of the shock. I did mine on the floor of my garage, on jack stands. On a hoist, it gets easier.
Whatever parts are damaged by what they did wrong, are part of thier responsibility. They pay for it, and the labor to put it in. If it was me, I would also insist that the guy who did it wrong the first time, doesn't touch my truck again. I wonder if an apprentice worked on your truck. There is no guarantee that a licensed guy did it. I would definitely demand someone who knew what they were doing do it right the second time. If he argues, explain to him that there are consumer protection groups like the Better Business Bureau that would love to hear his story. I doubt you will have to play that card. A 3 minute conversation with the manager should ensure everything is done properly.
If they ran a respectable business, they know that they are in the wrong, and should pony up.

Yeah that's what I was going to do. I'm going to have them tow it back over there to insure that driving it again doesn't mess it up. Monday is when they open back but they already know how pissed I am with them so hopefully I won't have to get the bbb involved but ill soon find out. Thanks for the help. Ill keep y'all posted on the situation.

Any updates? I installed my zone 2in leveling kit in the garage and im having the same noise in the left front tire. same exact description\, it sounds like i have mud terrains. I brought it back to the alignment guy to recheck everything and make sure its perfect. I even rotated the tires to see if it stopped with no luck. Im curious to know what happened with yours and if you were able to diagnose the problem and fix it.

Sorry I forgot to update that. It was actually a small peice that was broke during the install that allowed the 4wd to lock in. It was a 300.00 part from ford. Took them a day to find and replace the problem. Needless to say it's fixed now and rides and sounds 10x better and I had the company I paid to put it on pay for the part and labor.
