Another TPMS question

There were reports of putting the sensors in a PVC capped tube and pressurizing it to the tire pressure, then putting the PVC behind the seat. Now, others say the sensors if left motionless go into sleep mode to save their batteries so it won't work. Worth a try?

Yeah you could do something like that, or put them in a trailer tire or something. Seems more like if going through that trouble might as well have them installed in the new wheels. There has to be a way in the computer to just shut the system off. I should grab a snap on tool from one of the guys at work and see if I can find something, or I could just go talk to the Ford techs at our other store.
