Rear spring help??

Hello,
I just upgraded to a 2010 FX4 Screw. The other day I had to pull the ponies to the vet and the rear end squatted even worse than my 2004 f150. I want to beef up the rear leafs. What's my best route? Air Bags or the super springs or another route? I've never even heard of super springs until searching this forum. What are they?
Thanks in advance,
Darrell

i would say the super springs basically what they do is when the rear squats with the load on it they only let it squat so far and then they help with the load but when theres no load in the rear they dont do anything and dont affect the stock ride

I have super springs on my 04.

Really pleased with them. The more weight, the more they engage.

Two bolts and they are off too.

Well it's looking like super springs for me too then. Easier to install and no having to mess with them airing up and down.
Thanks!!

If your vehicle is sagging that much, then my bet is that you need a wd hitch. The limit for your hitch as far as tongue/trailer weight is 500/5000lbs without a wd hitch. 500lbs tongue would not cause the rear to sag that much.

After I put a 1.5" level on my '09 anytime I hooked up the boat, it looked really wierd with the nose up high. Coming from the '97 that pulled same boat, I didn't experience the same amount of sag but also didn't have the nicer ride.

I looked at air bags alot and was going to go that route. It would give the best adjustability. But I would want an air system in order for those times when you needed it. Then I was worried if one failed, then what. Then I would have to mess with the air everytime I trailered the boat which is about every weekend in the summer.

In the end I went with the Super Springs. I'm not 100% satisfied with these either. They installed pretty quick, but there is not a good fit for them. In order to place them between the spring bands, top spring bushing would hit part of the frame. So, everytime I go over a speed bump, I get a clunk. Beyond that, they work great, I sag maybe 1" now compared to 2.5 before and I just hook up and go.

One extra bonus which I didn't expect, cornering or turning. I have less sway, particularly nice with stuff loaded in the bed.
