While at dealer for service I was checking out the '11's and I like the did down center seat better than the one in my 2010 XLT. I know some here hate the new design of the worthless cupholders, but I like the full seatbelt system with shoulder strap. I have 4 kids and this would be much safer.

may look into a swap in the future if it would bolt right in.

 

I saw that also. It has a head rest. But the center console is much smaller. and the cup holder smaller.

 

To answer your question, yes, the 2011 center bench seat will bolt right in to your 2010. They are all over eBay in all the colors, because frankly, saying most people hate them is being extremely polite. I'd give anything to have the middle bench from my 2005 in my new XLT, because I do a lot of work while on the road, and I'm really missing that middle storage, to say anything about getting extremely sick of trying to jockey my coffee mug into those new cup holders.

But yeah, search the forums and eBay, it's a pretty simple swap and those middle seats are going for around $70-$90 including shipping, so not very expensive when you factor in the extra safety for your kiddo.

 

I figured they would be available since so many hate them! The cupholder design is sorry. I am going to get aftermarket leather this summer so matching color isn't an issue.

Nice! Make sure you post photos after it's all done. I'd considered going with leather, but leather seats in Alaska aren't a good idea unless you get the seat warmers to go with them, which is an expensive proposition. Maybe in a couple years, when the cloth starts showing it's age.
