Hey folks I need a clear answer here from someone in the know - the max tow package which I know includes: -

MAX TRAILER TOW PKG W/PWR MIRRORS -inc: upgraded rear bumper, class IV trailer hitch receiver, 7-pin wiring harness, upgraded radiator, aux trans oil cooler, trailer brake control, SelectShift transmission, manually telescoping pwr heated side mirrors w/turn signals/puddle lamps (REQ: 99T Engine)(REQ: XB6 3.73 Rear Axle) (w/55F FX Luxury Pkg -inc: mirror memory feature) Code: 60P

My question: Is the TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER (REQ: 535 Trailer Tow Pkg or 60P Max Trailer Tow Pkg w/Pwr Mirrors) Code: 67T Included in the price of the MAX TOW package or must it still be ordered as a seperate line item??? All the sites that I have check or prebuilt the truck on when I click max tow package it automatically includes it. Help please I need a clear answer on this before I place my order. Thank you very much.

The trailer brake controller is included in the Max Tow pkg... I just ordered my truck Wednesday of last week and I had the dealer pull the specs for the trailer tow package and the max tow package and both included the trailer brake controller.

I ordered a Platinum, but I don't think the Max Tow package changes across the various trim levels.

 

Here's a window sticker of a 2011 with the max tow package. Granted it is not a FX2, but it shouldn't matter. This shows the trailer brake controller as part of the max tow package.

Do a little digging in dealer inventory and see if you can find a FX2 with the max tow, just as an additional verification. But I think you're good.

 

It is definitly included in the Max Tow package in the FX(x) trucks. I have a 2011 FX4 with the Max Tow that came with the brake controller

 

Thanks everyone for the input on the brake controller and the fact its included in the package. I had forgotten to mention the truck that i am ordering is a FX2 with the V6 TT and it comes with standard tow package but I wanted to upgrade to max tow. Have an awesome day from Baghdad I wish lol!
