Nice set up! Here in Hawaii gas hit $6.03 for regular today (Hana). Kill'n me man...I got the egg theory down and the ghotts did help. Think I'm ready to try cutting out the floor board and do the Flinstone Mod!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... Truth be told, Canada uses the metric system. Gas is sold by the litre in Canada, and all Canadian sold F150's post a __L/100km on the dash instead of a MPG

Make sure you use a raw egg. A lot of guys didnt like the power so they did the "hard boiled" mod and their mileage dropped again.

I know he laughs all the way to the bank, but I just can't do it yet, and I fill up twice a week.

lol.. It wasn't easy to do .. but I commute 100 miles a day for work.

So lets say gas is an even $4

Truck = 12.8mpg = $625 / month
Humiliating Metro = 45mpg = $177 / month

The trick to driving the metro is simple .... every morning .. take your heart, pride, mansack, & self respect .. rip it violently off .. hang it on a nail in the garage until you get home at night.

That makes it a little easier.

best mod ive done that has paid for its self is the Extang Trifecta bed cover, it was abt $300. My MPG went form 17 hwy to 22mpg.... it has now more than paid for it self in less than 6 months. I drive 40 miles one way to work. all hwy. also finding that "sweet" spot also helps... although i prefer 78mph, (on cruz) 68mph (on cruz) can gt me 23 to 24 mpg....any bed cover for that matter will work. and since there is always that one person...

North Tx = mostly flat
Alt is 647 ft abv sea lvl
avg temp in am 75 deg
speed - 0-68 mph abt 1 min (nice and slow)

I've had mine on for almost 6 months. If I've gotten any more MPG since the install it's been minimal. It does keep my bed dry though.

Or just tint the hell out of your windows so no one can ever SEE you driving it.

After adding a SI/DO Flowmaster 40 and the Gotts Mod, my MPG has decreased 1-2.
Course, the fact my truck now rumbles and gets better air flow often leads me to be heavier-footed on the pedal

As many have said, don't look for aftermarket mods simply to get better MPGs--try driving differently after the mods are installed and see what driving style nets you more MPG. I'm betting the easier, non bat-outta-Hell way
