I received my Brochure from Ford and it had the $750 coupon inside that it says is good in addition to any other offers. I saw some conflicting information in searches so is it good with the X-plan or is it already entered in the computer when I go buy? I'm hoping to pick up the truck I want this weekend. The X-Plan sets the price so all that is left to negotiate is my trade in. Hope it goes well. I'd love to drive home a new White Tri-coat Platinum this weekend. It has the black (Sienna brown) interior which I have not seen yet so hope I don't look inside and go WTF?

Nice! I'm from Ft. Walton Beach, which some people refer to as "LA" for "Lower Alabama". Anyway, just up the road from you in Savannah now. What dealer are you going to?

As I understand x-plan, Ford lowers the invoice price and that is the reason for the discount. The dealership makes the same profit as if you went in and paid full price for your truck. I was given $2k for a very well used 2001 Explorer. I do not think I would have been able to get that much from it if I tried to sell it myself. I walked out with $3250 in incentives, not great but better than I expected. Total cost for a $40k truck was $34k tax/tag/title out the door. I didn't think it was too bad since I went in, told them what I wanted and bought it when it came in. Very low stress and I didn't have to sit there for hours ****ering with the salesman about how much I was going to pay.
As to your options the heated/cooled seats are great. I really didn't want them until I drove a Platinum. My truck has them and I love it. If you put them on cool for too long it does have a tendency to feel like you wet your pants, but that is part of the learning curve. I only use them until the inside of the truck cools off to keep my back and butt from getting sweaty. The powerfold mirrors work great push a button they fold. Push it again they unfold. I use them at work when parking next to a sign. As far as the Lariat interior, I also went with the light interior. It tends to wash out the light "wood" and make it a bit less noticeable/ugly.
