Get a good wash mitt and drying towel. Go here and at least follow the wash and dry procedures. http://www.adamspolishes.com/t-videos.aspx
My truck is 6 years old and have lived outside since day 1. This only a wash and dry.

I've heard very good things about the Blackfire products. My current personal favorite LSP is Menzerna Power Lock. It too is a synthetic sealant and it goes on and comes off incredibly easily.
As others have said, on a relatively new truck, you can probably get away with just a wax / sealant. As the truck ages though, no matter how careful you are, you're going to get more and more surface marring. And with any dark color, that marring will be much more visible that it would on a lighter color. (Ask me why I always buy white trucks.)
When you do start to get marring, polishing with an appropriate product, pad and process will bring your paint back to top notch condition. If you need advice on how to do that, visit us in the Detailing forum or PM me.
