What was left behind after you cut off the nubs? Just a hole? (The bed extender looks like hollow blow-molded plastic to me.)

I found a sheet of little flat rubber pads the size of a quarter to cover the holes to make everything look a lot cleaner.

Sorry for bring a post back from the dead but I finally got around to taking pics of the bed extender with the rubber nubs cut off and a little rubber cap to cover the holes. For those that are interested.

Very clean! I ended up doing the exact same thing, but your rubber caps look better than mine (mine are flush). Do you have a close-up of the rubber caps (what are the from)?

I took this with my phone so hopefully it comes out ok. These are little rubber pads you would put under electronics in your home like dvd player, amp, cable box ect. Ive had these for years sitting in a draw.

Awesome, thanks for the pics. So these have an adhesive backing that you just peel and stick?

Bringing this thread back to life to check on something. Was about to purchase an extender off another forum member, but he does not have the plastic grommet sleeves or whatever you call them that the pins push into. Are those plastic grommet things needed. I think i found the part number for those sleeves but they also say they are for the sport track and 08 and under extenders. I also have the bedrug so did you guys just poke holes in the carpet to push the pins through?
