Wow. Where did you hear about the MyFord Touch in the F-150? Is that cofirmed? Too bad CometFlash is no longer with us. He was really interested in the MyFord Touch technology.

There are already Raptors on the road in normal black. Forgot the name, but it has no metallic flake in it. Ebony black maybe??

^ that's correct. Tuxedo black is discontinued from the Japan earthquake. That's the one with pearl flake. They are ONLY offering flat (no flake) shiny black now. It's now referred to as Black (UA)

Hell if a 34mpg truck comes out next year you can say goodbye to my 5.0.

It's not a 34 mpg truck. Manufacturers are mandated to have a fleet; all vehicles they produce must have a combined average of 34 mpg.

I wanted black, but I hate the metal flake they put in it, looks dirty when its clean.

Ive had 2 red trucks and currently a blue one so that eliminates those.

I guess im stuck with sterling gray, which I really like, but my wifes Escape is that color...just weird to have twin vehicles.
If the paint bothers you that much why don't you just get it painted?

LOL, sure, why didnt I think of that!

I'll just roll my brand new 40k truck to good ole Earl Scheib's and have him shoot it.

Seriously though, green had been an option forever on the F-150's and suddenly its gone right when I am ready to order so I was a bit bummed. But, ive moved on, Ingot silver is REALLY starting to grow on me now since I dont have time to maintain my trucks paint like I should.

In 2012, they offer both a hunter green and a brown

I saw that, both are great colors. But, I think both will require a good deal of maintenance to keep them looking great. With a 2 y/o and another to be born in a couple months, thats not gonna happen with me.

I have begun to really like the Ingot silver, I think it will hide dirt, dents and scratches very well.

Now I just need to see if waiting to order a 2012 model is worth it? When will dealers begin accepting 2012 vs. 2011 orders?

I am with ya oon the metallic black. I much prefer good ole gloss black. Metallic black looks dusty or dull in direct light. I am sure glad to see gloss black is back.

Why can't they stop meddling in the private sector and let the market dictate what kind of cars are to be sold? Sick of government intervention.
