Griff - all of us 5.0 guys with 4x4 are getting 20-22 highway, if you go easy on the pedal. How can we ask for more on highway than that
#18
That's with 2wd 5.0 3.55LS.
In the city, not nearly as good. I have to drive like an old man to get 15mpg.
Also, I find the dash mpg display really accurate. I keep it set to "Last 30 minutes". I don't know if that helps with accuracy.
One funny thing though, is that my trip odo (which I always reset at fuel stops) always reads the same as the fuel economy display which is only supposed to be for the last 30 minutes. This doesn't make sense, it should read avg economy since it was reset, not just for the last half hour. If I'm doing mixed driving, but my last hour was highway, then the trip meter should show +/- 18 and the fuel economy gauge should show +/- 21 for the last 30 minutes.

Raise whatever flag you want, but 22 is easily possible. Level highway at 60mph no air.

Knoxville to Cincinnati and back 19.6 mpg at 65-72 mph-it was really windy, my city mileage is about 16. All things considered I love this truck, pulls my boat with ease, looks good rides nice and is comfy. The stereo is weak!!!!!! and it is loud in rain. After driving a chevy this is a major upgrade.

So far my avg are a low of 14.14 and a high of 16.31 with an overall average of 14.92
So far my driving has been all city stop and go. This is about 1000 miles worth of data. 350 of which has been pulling a 2500lbs mowing trailer all city and all really short (less than 1 mile trips between yards). So that really pulls the average down.
The 14.14 fillup was pulling 6000lbs of hay and trailer for 100 miles at 60 mph with 20mph or so head wind.
Truck has 2000 miles now the first 1000 miles was a highway trip breaking it in really good so I only averaged around 18 mpg. I think I could pull 22 mpg on the same trip driving it normal.

Almost 2000k on mine, daily commute is 43miles -100 highway.
Consistently avg 22, hit 23 today. I know this truck will continue to get low 20's on road trips with a stock setup. Upgrading to wheels/tires in about month or so, will see how much it effects it. really pleased with this truck
