What are you towing ?

The biggest thing we haul is our Keystone Passport 245RB. It is called an ultra light. 4,750 dry probably 5,600 ready to camp. The truck does great for a half ton. I had F250 diesels for the last 20 years so it is a little humbling to haul with a little truck. But we sure like the worry free reliability of the Ford gas engine.

I towed my new 22'6" Chaparral boat/trailer from Florida to VA and averaged around 10-10.5mpg with my 2011 Screw Raptor (6.2). The boat with trailer loaded, was around 5500lbs. I would think your FX4 should average at least 10mpg with that 6K trailer, but what do I know.

Badass looking FX4!!! I definitely love the all Black FX4 with bigger tires. I'm a little surprised at your trip computer mileage with the Ecoboost towing.

I too am very suprised with a ecoboost having that kinda milage, maybe the elevation in the area has something to do with it also. I know I just pulled my 24 ft enclosed trailer across NC from one end to the other yesterday and averaged 11.3 mpg pulling a fully loaded trailer and full load in the cab also. I ran anywhere from 65-75 the whole trip and was suprised in my 5.4 holding its own.

Yeah, the mileage wasn't near what I was hoping and I was actually pretty disappointed with it...regretting not buying a diesel like I originally planned.
I'm hoping it will go up with a few more miles on it (had a little less that 1000 when I left for the trip), and from what I have read they improve a bit over the first 3k miles.
Keep in mind, I'm running heavy 33" MT's...so that definitely doesn't help the mileage, and my odometer is roughly 6% off due to the larger tires so the mileage is slightly higher than what is shown on the gauges. But still less that I would like to see. I may throw the stock tires back on to see how the MPG's compare (making the same trip for Memorial weekend), if it is drastic...I'm going to sell the Toyo's and go with a smaller less aggressive A/T.
