Weren't we told a couple years ago, by some messianic guy, that energy prices would necessarily skyrocket?
Everything is going as planned.
Time for all of us rubes and rednecks to trade in our gas guzzeling pick-up trucks for fuel sipping bread boxes.
My V6 F150 is currently getting an average of about 20mpg. My wifes Mazda 3 hatch get's 25-30mpg. Looks like we'll be putting more miles on her car this year.

I believe (I could be wrong) that Ford recommends 89 octane. It is All I have ever run in any of my F150's and All I will run. There is no way in hell I'm going to run premium fuel at $4.09 per gallon, when my truck runs just fine on 89 octane at 3.89 (currently).

I hit $105 filling up my F250 the other day...at $3.99/ gallon. Sad thing, it would have taken more had the pump not shut off at $105. The good thing, the last station I filled up shut off at $100, so now I know where to fill up to get it closer to full without having the swipe the card twice!
