You guys in the US have it lucky. $130 put in 3/4 of a tank for me... and the Canadian dollar is still stronger the the US$.

Here in Ontario Canada, the pumps are reading $1.38/L. There are 3.79L in 1G... that's $5.23/G

With my political viewpoint, having the government control something else in my world like gas prices is out of the question. So, then what do we do to get get this to change?

Just bend over and take it I guess.
Gas is getting high because the Federal Government isn't letting any of the oil company's drill. They won't let them drill in the Gulf of Mexico and all the oil company's have moved their rigs to South America. Its just another way for the Liberals to push their alternative energy agenda.

It is the 45 billion dollar quarterly profits that **** me off. Obviously they aren't losing money or spending extra to produce the gas we are buying. I hear they want to go to a mileage tax system. Electric and hybrid cars don't buy any gas or less gas which pays none or less road taxes...

Oil companies don't set the price of oil. Would like to know how it works?

Putting PREMIUM gasoline in big truck engines that are not designed for it nor require it is a HUGE waste of a lot of money. You get no benefits from it whatsoever. None.

We dropped from $1.219 to $1.199 per litre a few days ago, in Edmonton. That's roughly down to $4.73 per gallon (US equivalent).
