Hate to threadjack... but mine is kinda similar... at 44K miles, just bought it used and driving for about a month. Mine seems to downshift too abruptly at around 30-20 mph when decelerating, I can feel and hear. I wonder if it is the same thing. I brought it to the dealer and under warranty they "fixed" it seemed to be a bit better for about a week and it came back again. They said they "reflashed" the tranny. Any thoughts guys?

Mine has gone away and is extremely smooth on stop and start now! there was a TSB on it and the parts on the invoice were "boot" and "Clamp". I have a 2010 XLT superscrew
Here is what was on the invoice:
Perform TSB 10-22-6 to address the slip-bump complaint OP CODE=102206A-0.5, BASE #4602. Cond Code=41
Parts:
Boot = 9L3Z-4421-A
Clamp = 9L3Z-3B478-
Happy camper now! Off to a three day weekend on a good note!

I have a completely stock new 2011 F-150 Crew Cab 5.0L with only 1000 miles, and I think I might have the same thing, if not something similar. Right as I am coming to a complete stop, the truck lunges forward. It is very mild, but enough to bug me. I read this thread before it started happening, so maybe I'm looking too much into this issue, and it will go away as the truck breaks in. Or maybe I might need to take a trip to the dealership.

ibcop : 700 miles is not gonna be enough of a break in period for the truck
I can bet the dealer will think the same thing.
All stealerships are the same, nice when you're buying and treat you like crap once you've bought.
mine has 7500 miles and I felt it clunk a few times but, I'm not sure what it is.
Might be the same thing, might not be. I'll wait a few thousand more miles before visiting the dealership.
Once I get the Exhaust and new stereo put in the clunk won't matter. I doubt i'll hear it.
how many of you have an exhaust system ? Can you actually hear the clunk or is it more of a feeling? When I feel it i'm going about 2-10 mph and i'm braking, I never heard a clunk yet just a feeling that can only be described as a clunk.
I can bet the dealer will think the same thing.

I'm just saying does it (the Clunk) matter if you have an aftermarket exhaust system or a bunch of 10"-12" speakers installed in your truck. Now installing these just made it louder, but some can't live with a little play in the driveline. I'd say less than about a 1/4" - 3/8"
I also understand that when you pay 30,000.00 for a vehicle you shouldn't get these kinds of problems. Then again these trucks are produced in high numbers and some may never have problems while other may have problems every other week.
I'm sure some of you guys may have a different clunk (sound, feeling) but mine's not so bad. Hopefully everyone will get these problems figured out.
