New Ecoboost FX2

Hi All,

Just picked up a 2011 Ecoboost FX2. Previous owner of an '02 FX4, '05 FX4 & '05 King Ranch. Really loving what Ford has done with these generation so far..

FYI - Looks like the memorial day incentives may have gone into effect already even if not published. There were $4000 in incentives on this truck, along with a free 2 year basic maintenance plan + the $750 private cash

When i had looked at the truck a week earlier it was just the "swap your ride" $3500 or 0%

Got good plans for this truck: Going to do the white on black thing much like Blackout or famousf150 did. Just trying to decide between going street and dropping the rear 2" with 22" wheels or offroad with a leveling kit and 33"s

All my previous trucks have been the offroad route, so that combined with the gas milage hit has me leaning a bit more towards going street this time.

As far as the ecoboost motor goes.. Love it so far! This little motor has some *****. It makes the old 5.4 seem absolutely pathetic in every way. Only have about 100miles on the truck so far, but averaging 17mpg mixed city/hwy.

Beautiful truck. I want the same thing but with the 6.5' bed.

I'd go street. That thing would look killer with a static 3/5 on it

Great looking ride

It seems to me that this truck would look even meaner with a street flavor to it. What sort of mods are you thinking?

Black 22" s
Drop rear end 2" to make it level
blackout mirror reflectors
blackout badges
black exhaust tip
HD heads/tails
remove ecoboost badge + antenna
add new stereo

Already done:
Tint
Line-x

Then I will obviously give performance mods serious thought when they become available for the Ecoboost... Seems like there is nothing out in the aftermarket yet ?

yes. $1000 of that $4k was tied to ford credit.. your dealer should be able to type the truck VIN into a computer system and print out all the available incentives/options.

For example, on this truck there were about 4 different incentive "packages". different mixes of upfront cash vs special apr rates.

if you haven't already goto ford.com and request an f150 brochure. You need to put in your address & email but in ~2 days you will receive an e-mail with a $750 private cash coupon that will stack on top of all other incentives.

Gotta love that FX2. I like the white, though I have a black one picked out. Not gonna buy cause I sell 'em and can drive it when I want .

The 3.5 EB is the baddest engine ever in a production truck.

Thanks bushtree!
Do you mind me asking...
Did you use Ford Motor Credit?
What interest rate were you able to get while also receiving all those rebates?

Yes, I used Ford Motor Credit to get the $1000 incentive. If you go with another lender you lose out on that $1000. Ford Motor Credit without any of the special offer apr has pretty high rates. Thankfully there is no early payoff penalty, so you can just refinance right away and still keep that $1000 incentive

I was able to get 6.25% from FMC. That is with a high credit score and large down payment though. I have heard many people getting rates in the 7-8% range from FMC.

You simply just need to run the math to figure out what upfront cash / apr / lender works out the best for you in the end.. For me it was the $1k with FMC as i have a small principal due to the down payment.

I had an iphone loan app with me at the dealership that made quick work of all the options

FX lights are slightly different from the Harley. FX's are sterling grey and Harley's are black.
