Ecoboost Insurance

I am going to be buying a new F150 in the near future and wondered how much it cost you all to go from a naturally aspirated engine truck to a Ecoboost engine F150 insurancewise?

How big of a difference is there on the insurance?

My insurance actually went down a few dollars from my 05 5.4L to the 11 EB.

no change.. I actually think it might help if anything. As your VIN now shows as 6cyl instead of 8cyl

I have State Farm, and the cost was less for the EB than for the 5.0...they didn't care about anything other than "how many cylinders does it have?"

I went from a 2001 Explorer with a V-6 and liability only to a full size with the ecoboost and full coverage. My insurance went up $35 per month.

It's surprising to me that the insurance is about the same. I know that it is a V6 but it is a twin turbo.

Thanks.

As stated... The insurance companies just look at the number of cylinders. Works in our advantage this time around

It's still categorized as a plain ole truck. Maybe something like a Lightning would carry a premium?
