horns on a 2011

is ford serious with the horns that they put on the trucks this year? they are wimpy to the point of belonging on a toyota.

what have you guys done to replace them. any suggestions. i dont want to sound like an amtrak train but be loud enough to be heard.

My horn sounds just like any other truck horn I've heard. Although, with as accessible as it is, I am tempted to change it. A train horn would be hysterical. But probably expensive and would also need a compressor and probably also more electric.

How about a musical horn? Dixie? La Cucaracca?

I agree, the horns are pretty wimpy for a big truck. I would like to change them too.

I'll have to take a listen at the office to our 11s. My 07 expedition horn is the loudest OE horn I've ever had by a long shot. If they are weak maybe a swap to the expedition horn is the ticket?

All Ford truck horns emit a sound in the key of F. This hasn't changed in over 15 years. Get yer ears checked
