You can always identify a Dodge by the sound of its exhaust. I lost interest in racing from stoplights years ago.

montecarlo, this was in traffic. I finally got beside him, he was about to turn off and i slowed down and we rolled windows down and I wanted to race...we started at a rolling start around 25-30 and got to about 85-90 before we backed out for the lane ending ahead.

Best 1/4 mile time I've seen for a 6.2 is the Harley truck at 15.1@93. Raptor at 15.2 @ 92 and the 5.0 @ 15.1@93 too which I find every interesting but it could be the 22"s and awd sucking up the 6.2s power vs the XLT small tire/wheel comboed 5.0 truck. All from Car and driver. I'd be impressed if the 5.0 was really that fast the ones we have at the office feel more like mid to high 15s trucks.
I am just basing it off of my experience, not making any sort of proclaimation about 1/4 mi times or anything like that. I would venture to guess that maybe your trucks at work have the 3.55 gears, and thats the difference? I have 3.73's in my fx4. Also, for the record, I have the stock 20" wheels and my friend has the stock 17s on his gmc.

I'm not at all surprised you got beat.
At a ride and drive event we got to race against the Ram with the 3.5, 4.6 and 5.4. The EB was the only engine that could beat the Ram in the few hundred feet strip that was set up.

I don't care if my truck can beat someone else in a race. I care how much it can pull and if it can do it with good acceleration. But if you wanna race 'em more power to ya.

I just stepped out of a Hemi and bought an EB...the EB is far superior with half the fanfare....no comparison.

Along these lines, an old boss of mine (with a Ram, but without much intelligence) was racing a Lightning on the highway. Well, my boss' truck "mysteriously" lost all power after a loud noise in the engine, and had to pull over...

Come to find out, my boss' Ram had about 35K miles on it ... and he had not once changed the oil. He had destroyed the engine and needed a new one.

I read that the 2011 Screw with 5.0 and 3.73 gears does 7.18 to 60 and mid-15s in the quarter mile.
