It wasn't meant to be funny. F-150's don't have hydraulic lines or hoses now. My point was that they can't pull a line off a new truck since the new trucks no longer have hydraulic power steering. There are no hydraulic lines or fluid anymore. Except for the 6.2 trucks, they all have EPAS.

The OP's truck is a 2009 with conventional power steering. 2011 is the first year for electric.

Exactly. I was refering to the comments that the dealer should pull a hose off a new truck on their lot to do the repair. They can't do that since the new trucks don't have this hose, unless of course they still have some 2010's on the lot.

Well the truck has been at the dealership going on 21 days this coming Monday. I have contacted Ford and I'm currently waiting on their responce. They did tell we they are going to look into what the hold up is on this line and that may take up to a weeks time. I'm not to sure as to what my rights are or what types of demands I can make but not having my truck for 3 weeks has been horrible. I will give them this last chance to resolve this issue before I consult a lawyer as to my right here in Michigan.

I'm driving a rental which is provided by my premium ESP but still pay 1.80 per day for tax. Ford contacted me weeks back and said they will update me as information becomes available, but haven't heard since.

Your so right on with that. I never thought I would be out my truck for this long in a million years. I guess we will see if Ford will step up and do what's right to keep me as a client, I mean basically my entire family worked for the company at one time or another and in my house hold we have purchased over 15 Ford vehicles in the past 20 years.

You haven't heard from them in weeks? I'd be following up with them to see if you can get it escalated. The first parts that start to come in will likely go the the tickets with top priority, and I would be sure they know yours should be on the top of the list.

My case has been escalated to the highest priority for weeks now. It seems as if there is a bigger issue at hand, maybe these parts are defective and Ford hasn't recalled them yet?

You also need to DEMAND that Ford pays your truck payment (if you have one) for the month or so they have it...
