Should I trade 08' to newer f150?

What's up,
Hope everyone is doing alright.
I got a f150, FX2, V8, 30000 miles and was wondering if I shoul trade to a newer model. Iwas thinking that I'll might get a better gas milage with a newer model..... What y'all think?

Honestly, IMO, if you like the truck, keep it. The extra money to cough up for the truck won't offset the higher mpg's and that's IF you even see higher mpg's.

I like my truck. I was just wondering if it's worth to get a newer one. Gas is high, u know. Maybe the next model after 2012 will be worth it. Thx for ur input.

I say keep your 08. The 11's are nice, but don't make the jump if it's just for a small improvement in MPG.

Good solid advice here. I also agree that keeping your current truck is the way to go.

I don't disagree on the financial advice but if money isn't a big concern and you spend any amount of time in your truck it is a very nice upgrade in power/fuel (ecoboost) from the 5.4 and a significant upgrade in overall luxury, electronics, and ride. But with 30,000 miles in 3 years still probably not worth it for you IMHO.

You are the one that has to decide whether you should or need to trade. Asking on this forum if you should or shouldn't isn't helping you at all. Only you know your financial situation and other factors.

With that being said, I am glad I traded my 09 for the 11 model.

Good luck in your decision.

Gas is high but I don't understand this whole spend money to save money thing. Keep the truck.

The new model with EB is rated at 4 more mpg hwy and 3 more in the city than the 04-08. The next gen F-150 won't be until 2014 model year and if you are the kind that won't buy first year, you'll be looking at a 2015.

I'm going to go against the grain here, and suggest you take a new one out for a spin. With only 30k on the '08, it is worth a prime dollar as a trade in, or in a private sale. Take a trip to the dealer, take a new one out for a spin, and talk dollars with them. I'm betting you show up in the driveway with a brand new ride..... careful what you wish for, you just might get it.
