Harley Tails or VHT Nightshades

I've seen a few done with nightshades that look good...but twice as many that are horrible. It just has to be done right, not too dark or light and keeping the gloss is the key, which requires sanding replying etc. Some on here have done them and they look pretty good. I on the other hand wussed out and bought the harley tails, like $160 for both from tasca.

I painted the outside of my tails around the chrome with a flat black and then lightly tinted the red section of the tails. Subtle and I didn't spend $170 on new tails.
Ok, don't get me wrong here but I've gotta say something....
Why must most of your posts have to direct an insult towards people? HID's, now tinted tails? Yea, the guy wanted an opinion on what he should do, but he didn't ask if you thought one was a "ricer" mod or not.
Harley FTW. Tinted tails just signify that you are cheap. Its usually the very first thing ricers do is tint their tail lights. Is that $165 each or a pair? Either way from what I've been reading thats a good deal. I think Tasca is having a group buy on some as well.

take the lights off the truck then just mask off the front and the holes in the back. then paint the trim from the back using gloss black paint. i did 4 light coats. the one part is a little tricky to paint and may look like its not painted from the back but when you take off the tape its good to go. check out this thread https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...il-lights.html
