Ecoboost Mini Road Trip - MPG results
Took a quick day trip today with the new truck. I know there are many curious about the Ecoboost and real world milage results. So I took the opportunity to snap a picture and let you guys know my experience.
Truck: Ecoboost Supercrew FX2 (2wd), 3.55LS rear end, 18" wheels, Full tank of gas, driver + 1 passenger.
Trip: Phoenix, AZ (1600ft elevation) to Sedona, AZ (4500ft elevation) and back. Several sections of the trip were at 6% grade. Temp was 92-101F depending on elevation. 80% freeway, 20% city
Freeway speed was between 75-80mph, did NOT use cruise control. Still breaking in the truck (only 250mi on the clock at the start of today). Fuel was Shell 87 E-10
Slowing down greatly improves milage.. Before this I did about 20miles at 65-70mph and was averaging 22.5mpg
