Make sure you know where it is between the SuperCrew, SuperCab, and Regular cab. With the supercrew it's oddly hidden(take out back tray, undo wingnuts on passenger side). I think the SuperCab and regular cab have them located under the passenger seat.

I wonder if you will have a hard time proving that they never gave you one?

I have a screw.. Granted i've never actually looked for the jack, it would be a good idea to know where it is.. Since i didn't notice it under the back seat on the floor... Your saying it is "hidden"? And I would need to remove the little trough under the rear seat to find it?

In my '09 , attached to the jack is a plastic tube .That's to fill your gas tank from a gas can .Don't lose it.

In the Supercrew, the jack is in a plastic box under the right rear passenger seat. It comes out thru the opening under the left rear seat. You have to undo the 2 wing nuts and then use the pull strap loop to pull it out.

Dealer's don't install jacks in new trucks! If it's not there it wouldn't be the dealer's fault.

But the dealer is supposed to check for a jack, its part of a P.D.I. checklist that they have to complete before they can sell the vehicle. If the jack is missing, the tech doing the P.D.I. is supposed to report it to the service manager, who will then call Ford and have one shipped. The dealership is the one to blame in this instance, because they are the last on the assembly line who double check the entire vehicle for anything wrong, including recalls or T.S.B.'s before it goes home with a happy customer.

I agree, but given how the jack is "hidden", I suspect it may really be there.

I agree, I was a service adviser for Hyundai and I was responsible for P.D.I. and had several customers come back not knowing where the jack was. My techs were very good and thorough, so I'd just walk out with the customer and show them where it was. Some car manufactures make it very difficult for someone who has very little knowledge of cars to change their tire if they get stranded in the middle of nowhere.

My jack is located on top of the spare, wrapped in an oily clothe and sealed in plastic.

I put it there for more room in my underseat storage box. <Suggested in the OM>

I carry a small floor jack in the bed of my truck, but I really like your idea.

I'll work on that when the wife gets back from her errands.
