Truck Buisness Signs

Anyone lettered their F150 yet? I am in the process of picking out a sign for mine. Don't know if I should go magnetic or Vinyl? Any help would be appreciated.

I like the magnetic ones.....but you always have to make sure the surface is clean on the truck and the magnet sign.....

I don't have my truck lettered but I figured I would share my thoughts with you anyways. Coming from a customer or prospect; I like magnetic because its simple, gets the point across with no need for flashy colors and big words, etc. However, when someone has vinyl on there car/truck it is much more flashier and grabs your attention right away potentially leading to someone remembering your company/service and obviously leading to more business. Its basically a big marketing tool.

But what you also have to remember is that if you go on a vacation or out to dinner with your partner or family, and you have vinyl, it's always there with you. Where as, if you have a magnetic one, you can simply take it off (I'm assuming).

If you do go magnetic do you have to worry about rust at all? I remember my mom put a magnetic decal on her tailgate and it started to rust after a while.

Hope it helps, good luck to you and your business.

From past experiences, I don't recommend magnetic signs.....one way or another a lot of "grit" will work it's way under the sign, and it will wreck the paint..sometimes very badly, depending on how dusty/dirty your driving conditions are. Also, if you live in an urban area, consider that kids really like those things, and they may just "walk away" when your not looking.

Vinyl is a better option .....as long as it's applied and removed (ever you ever need it removed) professionally.

Personally, I have a "topper" on my rig, and chose it for my signage.....

It's in full color, and "see through" from the interior. Lifespan is about 4-5 years, and the cost was just shy of $200. It's only been there for a couple of months, but it's already paid for itself several times over.

That looks good! I think I'm going to go with the vinyl, I have a Candy Apple Red Lariat and I am going with gold vinyl lettering. I will post the finished product when I get it back.
