What is appears to be a small vent just right of driver visor in the headliner
i have the manual, found no info yet still searching. 2011 SC LARIAT

 

Is it possibly a microphone?

 

Could be there is phone button on steering wheel. salesman explains nothing
in fact after the sale.they sent me to the tire shop to get the truck
swaped the bumpy pirells for goodyear eagles.

 

It absolutely 100% the mic for sync system menu, and phone calls.

 

You are right, must be the mic, nothing found int the manual, i have the sync
manual,just have not found a photo or saying the location of this,where should i look any info. also the pirrell tires i advise anyone swap those bumpy
flat spot tires just my 2 cents thanks

 

It is the upgraded sync mic. The old mic used to be behind the rear view mirror.

 

If in doubt, I usually go the dealer and talk with a guy at the parts counter. He can pull a part number then scan the micro-fishe and show you the wiring location and all parts associated with it.

 

It is definitely the microphone for the SYNC phone...
