Help me decide on a truck please! see stickers ...
Guys -
Which of these two trucks would you all prefer? OTD price is within $100 at two dealers. Im stuck between the the 6.2 on the Limited - which I love the look, and the 5.0 on the Platinum (not too crazy about the tailgate business on the Plats). I like the AWD as well on the Limited. This will be a daily driver.
Job 1 Platinum:

Job 3 Limited:

Any and all comments welcome!

I know exactly where you're coming from. I really wanted the Limited, but I just couldn't make myself buy the gas guzzling (relatively speaking) 6.2L when the EB is dangerously close to the 6.2 in the power department.
For me, I love the overall look of the Limited and I kept telling myself I didn't like the chrome bits on the Platinum. In the end, I ordered a Platinum (white platinum tri-coat, Screw, 6.5' bed, Max Tow, non-nav). I told myself I would swap the tailgate for a Limited or Lariat tailgate and PTM the chrome side-moulding, but honestly, it's grown on my quite a bit.
I'm going to install my stereo (that's why I ordered it non-nav) and see where I stand when that's done. I'd love to install the HD/Limited grill and lower bumper cover, but that's a lot of coin.
I haven't answered your question, but at least you know my thought process in making the exact same decision...

I would go limited. My choice in motors would be 1St 6.2 ...... 2Nd 3.5 eco. .... 3Rd 5.0
For the motor difference alone I would go with the limited. If you don't mind burning a little extra fuel that is. If gas consumption might be a difference maker, I am sure I would go ecoboost. The 5.0 would not be a realistic option for me.
There is no replacement for displacement. But the ecoboost is an I interesting option. I wonder when someone will boost a 6.2? =)

I was in the same position. If I wanted a 6.2, the Limited was a no brainer. As I didn't want the gas mileage of the 6.2, I decided on the Platinum with the ecoboost. I actually like the platinum branding on the truck. I also got the white tri-coat 5'5" bed, Nav, Moon roof and tailgate step which I am glad I did. I had no idea just how high these 4x2s are off the ground and it's one heck of a step into the bed without it.

I test drove the limited 6.2 and the platinum with EB. Just got the platinum. Both are beautiful trucks. I liked the interior of the platinum better as well as the economy of the EB. the limited sounded great and inlace those wheels. Either way you will have a beautiful truck so there is really no wrong move. Enjoy!
