Within a day or two usually. Just wait a couple weeks, and they will send you offers to sign back up. I just signed up for 5 months for $20 total. I'm in the US, but you can probably score a similar deal if you wait a couple weeks after your 6 months is up.

 

When I did mine, I googled up "Sirius Coupon" or something like that and it had some code that you would enter to save even more.

If you ask for it you will find 2 offers just about any time.

1) $20 for 5 months of service. Can be used just one time (so they say).
2) $77 for 1 year. Seems to be a pretty standard rate so don't accept that the prices went up or they can't honor it.
