True, but neither of us knows which way it will be. I'm just a "glass half-full" kinda guy, and expect the best until I have a reason not to.

One of my grandma's never even had a driver's license!

I'm pretty sure my other grandma could have beat your grandmas up though!

I usually am as well. Just not so much when it comes to the new vehicles and the direction they have been going the last few years, when it comes to maintenance. I'm supposed to pick up a new 2011 tomorrow and I don't even want it.

Seriously? Dude, that's crazy! Just give it to me if you don't want it!

I love my 2005 but we are on the highway a lot late at night and my wife is uncomfortable with the miles on it(133,000+). It's still in great condition and runs perfectly. I just do not like the looks of the new ones. I do like the interiors, though. I have put her off 9 months and I am tired of her worrying, so made the deal over the phone last week. Didn't have time to get it last Saturday, so will get it tomorrow.

I wasn't very fond of this body style when it came out either. It's grown on me though, except for the tail lights, those are still disgusting IMHO.

You'll get over it quick when you mash the pedal in any one of these trucks, be it 6.2/5.0/3.5, they make the 4.6/5.4 engines look very bad.

My wife made me get a new truck when my '04 hit 100k miles. You'll love the fuel mileage on the new truck Bluejay, drive it easy I'd guess 22-23 mpg on the hwy. The 6 speed tranny may get confused sometimes and the turn signal's can be a good and bad idea. Other then that they are good truck's. Pics up when you get it please! My grandma had a "pirogue"

I test drove the 5.0 and it did not feel any peppier or stronger than my 5.4 with a custom tune. I think that for some reason, Ford left a lot on the table in it's tuning of the 5.4s and maybe they are more aggressive now with the 5.0 and the EB.

That's understandable I guess. Honestly, I like the looks of the '04 - '08 a bit better too, especially the '04-'05 with the rectangular fogs. I do miss my '05, but it just wouldn't tow our fiver.

But hey, I got a Lariat this time, and I get to change fuel filters regularly, at way too much $$$ a pop!
