LayinLo's Mod Progression Thread...

Hello gents (and ladies)!

Just got my 2010 silver F150. I'll probably spend way too much money on it like the Shelby, Evo, and all the motorcycles, but it's a hobby of mine so I wanted to do a mod progression thread like others and show progress. Please feel free to offer any suggestions, opinions, questions, comments, and funny stories...etc.

I went ahead and blacked out the amber side mirror reflectors. They just didn't look right to me...

Having the truck outfitted with a JL Audio stealthbox. It will be the shallow mount sub with the fiberglass box that fits under the rear seat. And the ambient lighting kit too. Hopefully I'll have pics up tomorrow.

Any other plans for the truck? I think yours would look sick if you lowered it and blacked it out IMO. Man, I gotta say, you have some great taste in cars and bikes! I hate to ask, but, what happened to the GT500?

D, that was my initial thought as well, but the more I look at it, if was gonna lower it and all, I should have gotten some kind of Rousch package. I'm thinking some meaty tires with a nice rim and at least a leveling kit. I do plan on blacking it out though. Probably go with Harley Edition heads and tails and a nice black grill. Maybe RBP or Smitty Built? I actually bought it so we could tow our motorcycles when we go to bike week and thunder beach versus riding them. Lets just say that mama bear likes to bring a million shoes and curling irons, .

Oh, as for the Shelby, a friend couldn't handle the power and wrecked it pulling off from a left turn at a stop light. Thankfully his insurance covered my payoff so I didn't really lose much. And being such a good friend he covered the cost of the few extras I had just bought for it without even being asked too.

Wiring kit, sub, and amp installed! Sounds great. I can't wait to hear once the sub has loosned up a little and is broken in. So far I'm happy because it's very responsive and still has some good volume to it.

Regearing the rear-end first thing in the morning. Decided to go with the 3.73's.

Also ordered the leveling kit and 20x12's with 305/55/20.......can't wait to put them on.

Excellent question. Well I actually bought the truck used. My background is not in trucks so I'm really new to the whole truck scene. Having said that, I found out my truck came with either 3.15 or 3.31 gears. Which after reading posts here and doing research, yes I wish I could have gotten it with a 3.73 limited slip.

Anyways, I think I also made a mistake buying the 20x12 rims because these scrub so bad. I think I'm gonna have to put a 6" lift on. I'm still researching my options though, but I'm already expecting to have put it on from all I've read.

Didnt realize you got it used but after some research it seems you can't get 3.73 stock on a 2wd.

Lift will look good. What's the bs on the wheels

It's the 20x12" has a -44mm offset and 4.77" of backspacing.
