Testing me already!

3 weeks and 2000kms to be exact.
Got up to go to work, jump in the truck.....and nothing but some clicking.
Managed to barely get a ride to work, got back from work and called road side assistance thinking oh maybe the battery was drained somehow and just needed a boost.
Nope....
Even with a boost truck does not turn over and starter system fault flashes...
Dealership says bring it in so on the flatbed it goes.....love seeing my new 50k truck on the back of a flatbed
Makes me feel proud about ownin a Ford again!
All of a sudden my 07 Chevy is lookin pretty good!

One day in the shop and no real answers.
Ford has no answers, techs are at a loss as to what zapped the battery and locked up the truck.
No codes except something about loss of communication.
Charged up and reset, truck runs, not throwing codes.
Still there as concern about reliability, more testing tomorrow.
Talk of getting permission from Ford to change a BCM but they dont have the part and grasping at straws...
See what tomorrow brings!
Sure love my Escort!

I work in the automotive industry and I see how complicated these vehicles are. Every manufacturer has issues and has problems. That's why they come with a warranty. I guarantee that not all 07 Silverados started right up... Don't get upset with Ford unless they don't fix it. I hate how some people say "My 20xx xxxx xxxx didn't start after 5,000 miles therefor xxxx makes junk vehicles."

Good luck! I hope they get you fixed up! It will probably be the best truck you have ever owned (hopefully).

That's called hasty generalization. Sadly, almost all brand bashers are affected by this.

More testing....still no answers as to what killed battery and locked everything up.
Had to do a perimeter reset as well as reprogram both keys,....basically they go thru all communications and make sure all modules are talking and responding properly.
Ford finally released the truck this afternoon...
Lengthy conversation with the Tech doing the work and he has never seen this before,Ford engineers either.
So it's back and time will tell if it was a once in a lifetime thing or not...

Well it looks like it's time to go trade it in on that chevy you been missing so you don't have to worry about it not starting... Luckily for me all my fords have been Dam reliable and I wouldn't trade it in on any other automaker. Good luck.

Lucky...yeah I'd say so....
Wonder how you would feel when that fancy truck you just bought is put on a flatbed.

If you would be ok with it because it's a Ford then you have a problem...
Ecoboost is great....time will tell

That truly sucks....I might just have to go to anger management courses if that happened to me.
As it was I saw red!
Gotta say I'm really sorry for your situation....hope Ford is doing something for you
