CAI with tune, is it worth it?

Hey guys i'm thinking of getting a combo sct tuner and cai from five star and wanted to know if it was worth getting the cai if it's tuned for the truck. From talking with them, they say that it is worth it. I currently have a Corsa exhaust and the gotts mod.

Probably depends on your engine, but Bill at PHP tested a 5.4 and as I recall, the difference on the dyno was that the CAI was about 4 hp over the stock intake with the snorkle removed. A tuned CAI is worth about 15 hp and the Gott's, about 11 or 12. Not worth the cost for me except for the visual effect. Much cleaner looking.

Thanks blue jay!! It's a 2010 5.4 fx4. I might call 5 star and see if they can do a tune for the gotts mod instead of the cai and save the money for headers or something else.

I have a Lightning and can't really tell a difference. I hated cleaning the open air filter all the time on a daily driver so I actually went back to stock....
